First and foremost, I would like to say thank you to all the brave men and women who have served our country.  Happy Memorial Day.  May we always remember the sacrifices others have made for us.

The 2021-2022 school year is complete.  Congratulations to our seven graduates!

  • Hailey Collins
  • Destiny Haphey
  • Miya Huskey
  • Gavin Gross
  • Jase Leyba
  • Mercedes Sandoval
  • Yessenia Vera

We wish them well as they venture into the next phase of their lives.

I would also like to recognize our Mountain Valley Teacher of the Year, Beth Schroeder.  Beth’s work at our school impacts every student at Mountain Valley.  Congratulations on a well-deserved award.  Additionally, Crystal Knight was awarded the Mountain Valley Employee of the Year Award.  Crystal’s dedication to our school and community has not gone unnoticed.  She is so valuable to our school as she plans exciting events and programs for our students.

It has, at times, been a challenging year as we continued to grapple with COVID.  However, our students and teachers persevered, and I am sure they are all ready for a well deserved break.  We are already making plans for the coming school year as we look to improve our programming for the 2022-2023 school year.  We are excited for the return of our concurrent enrollment program in cooperation with Trinidad State College.  The elementary school is gearing up for the adoption of a new math curriculum intended to improve student outcomes.

As always, please feel free to reach out to us if you have questions, comments, or praise to offer.
