Nov 5, 2025 · Mountain Valley School District No. Re 1School Cancellation for Thursday, November 6, 2025Dear Mountain Valley Schools Families,
Mountain Valley Schools will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, November 6, 2025, out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our students and staff.
We have been in consultation with the County Health Department regarding a gastrointestinal illness that has been affecting members of our school community. To help prevent further spread and protect our students and staff, we have made the decision to close school for the day.
Our maintenance and custodial staff will be conducting a thorough deep cleaning of all school facilities tomorrow. This will allow us to sanitize our building comprehensively and help get ahead of this illness.
We understand this closure may cause inconvenience for families, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility. Please monitor your children for symptoms of gastrointestinal illness, including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and fever. If your child is experiencing these symptoms, please keep them home until they have been symptom-free for at least 24 hours.
We will resume normal operations on Monday, November 10, 2025. If anything changes, we will communicate with you as soon as possible.
Thank you for your cooperation and support as we work together to keep our school community healthy.
Sincerely,
Jose Ortega Superintendent Mountain Valley Schools District RE-1
